Floating on an experiential cloud
Great piece of experiential work here by KLM to advertise their new Economy class seating at Manchester airport recently, that of course, like, totally went viral. If anyone can shed light on how this illusion was achieved, Zeitgeist would be curious to know.

I’d probably do it by running a bespoke chair *underneath* his trousers, with the chair leg down his trouser leg and through his shoe. That way the fabric would hang over it and still look natural.
My thoughts is it was created using a strong piece of metal that comes up at the heel of his shoe, up his trouser leg and then spreads out into a back support which is cleverly concealed with his shirt. Great illusion btw!
^ Exactly what they said. Great piece. Things that make you go hmmmmm
Thanks for your comments all, unfortunately you’re incorrect. The correct answer is, of course, that it’s magic.
